"Touch seems to be as essential as sunlight"

Human connection is essential. It's possible to be happy alone but I believe a large part of our happiness is based purely off our relationships with others; how they make us feel, inside and out. A simple touch of the skin can resonate with someone for days, weeks, even months. Being touched, even if its just a hand to hold, can be the hope a person needs and can give them the strength to keep moving forward. This sentence resonated with me because touch really is like sunlight, and just like plant, we need it to be really, fully, happy.
